All About Us

Friends of Marie Weller (FoMW) is a fantastic way to to brings together parents, teachers, and other community members to raise funds, support our school and organise and run exciting events. It provides an opportunity for everyone to work together towards a shared goal. All parents, grandparents, carers, friends, and teachers are encouraged to get involved, whether it’s by volunteering your time, sharing ideas or simply supporting the events. Every bit of help makes a big difference!

The FoMW team consists of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly for the benefit of all children at Marie Weller Primary School. If you can’t make it to the meetings but would still like to help, please contact us at friendsofmwps@yahoo.com

Our Main Objectives:

• Raise funds to provide "extras" for the children
• Organise social events for parents and children
• To engage in activities or provide facilities or equipment that support the school

These efforts not only enhance the school but also allow parents to become more involved in their children's education.

We host various events throughout the year to raise funds, including:

• The now famous New Year challenge
• Disco Nights
• Mother's and Father's Day events
• Raffles
• Bake sales
• Wreath making workshops
• Christmas gift sales
• Bag2School collections

We also support school-run events, such as Sports Days, New Parent evenings, the Summer Fete, and more.
